Creating a contemporary content rich website for one of the oldest agricultural research institutions in the world.
Rothamsted approached Coherence to help the institute transform the way it communicated its offering to all of their stakeholders. Consideration had to be given for the diverse needs of funding partners, employees, farmers and their local community.
The complete phase 1 launch of the project was completed within 14 weeks including business immersion, content strategy and website design & build. The result is a refined web experience built using the combined power of Drupal and DX7, and with the built in agility to manage their ongoing content needs that was required for such a progressive organisation.
Easier client updates with enhanced Drupal editing capabilities, powered by DX7.
Coherence approach each and every project to ensure the website supports the need of the organisation both for today and the future. The Drupal DX7 platform has been implemented to empower the marketing teams to create and administer highly designed engaging pages across the site. The additional capability DX7 brings for site evolution ensures that the site’s lifespan is significantly lengthened.
Maximising their core services with an improved site architecture and strategy.
Improving the user experience is not straightforward – it involves bringing together elements such as information architecture, navigation, imagery, design and content strategy. Coherence worked closely with Rothamsted to achieve this, and with all prime content available within 2 clicks, nothing is now hidden away from the user.
Bringing their research to life with outstanding imagery.
Coherence worked closely with Rothamsted’s photographic resource to advise on how images can best be shot, sourced and treated for the responsive web. Our design and build team then set about ensuring that they looked great across all breakpoints whilst never becoming too intrusive.
